Backstory:

Connor was once a confident, successful, loving, and outgoing person with a wonderful family but that all changed after the collapse of the City of Los Santos as he and his family quickly began running low on supplies to survive they had to fight just to retrieve. It was then that things only became worse when the mysterious virus going around managed to make its way to his entire family except for him. He then found himself in the horrible decision of either ending the lives of the family he loved, or letting them waste away and attempt to eat him as their new zombie forms overtook them. Connor made the only decision that he thought was right, and took the lives of his beloved family.

After this, Connor fell into a deep depression, lost his motivation to live, and hid away from the ongoing hell-ish nightmare that was outside his front door. One day while searching through his already emptied supplies for something left and on the verge of death himself from starvation, he heard the zombies outside coming closer and closer to his home. He began hearing banging on the doors and believed this was his time to die. All of the sudden, he begins hearing a slicing noise, and grunting of collapsing zombies being murdered one after another. It goes silent for a long time and then, a knock at his door. A survivor. A man dressed in a long black trench coat and a cowboy hat, holding a machete covered in blood stood before him and only muttered a few words, “Hi there, my name is Jack…” This man saw Connor in his near-death state, the interior of the home trashed and covered with blood. “..You need this more than me…” the man hands Connor some food and water. Connor stares at the man in disbelief that this total stranger risked his life and is now offering him food and water. “Let's get you out of here, I know of a safe place we can go,” Jack says.

Jack then leads Connor back with him to a sanctuary for medical treatment and to help him regain his strength. Connor and Jack worked for weeks before Connor finally regained his strength, then building back up Connor's confidence and willingness to keep moving forward. Connor found himself with a friend, someone to trust. Until one day, Jack left the sanctuary with a group of survivors and never returned. Connor's only friend that he had made since the loss of his family, now gone as well. Connor began falling back into a depressive state, not wanting to continue on, until one day he overheard a group of survivors talking about the possibility of other sanctuaries and factions outside and new ways of life since the collapse.

Many of the groups of survivors begin to ask Connor if he would like to join their groups but he declines them as he is scared to get close to people again. After many passing groups leave, Connor then realizes he is going to be left behind if he cannot get over this. He then decides that instead of letting himself fall back into a state of depression, like he did when he lost his family, he is going to let the memory of his fallen friend, Jack, and his family live on in himself. Connor takes up arms, trains like he never has before, and works to gain the courage to walk outside and face the new hell that is reality and perhaps one day, gain some new friends and family.
