General Description[]

Formerly known as Gemma Nye, married Josh Dalton some time before the fallout of San Andreas. One of the six founding members of The ARC, recon specialist and the right-hand to "Granny" Dinah Moe.

She is usually seen alongside her husband, or other members of The ARC with her hands in her pockets.

Characteristics[]

Gemma has a very warm and inviting personality and will never shy away from a conversation. You will often hear Gemma call someone by their nickname she gave them; whether it be from banter, or she wants to remember you.

On the contrary, if ordered, she will shoot to kill.

Appearance[]

Gemma has short white hair, fair skin and has six distinct markings on her face. She often wears a Black army hat under a hood with a face mask. She wears a black cargo vest to make up for the lack of pockets on her black jeans. Gemma has claimed she prefers wearing boots in ode to Nancy Sinatra's hit "These Boots Are Made For Walkin"

Background[]

Gemma was born in Blaine County and is the daughter of two renowned natural scientists, Bill and Catherine Nye. She moved to the city to get away from the secrets and experiments that lay within Humane Labs, and eventually moved abroad to study photography. Gemma founded the YTG sorority, alongside her best friends Aurelia Reyes and Chelsey Stewart. While in Australia, Gemma became influenced by drugs, money and crime. She led six officers to their deaths in an explosion so terrible, that the state had listed her a national threat, charged her for terrorism and deported her back to Los Santos.

Gemma's life back in Los Santos was a clean slate. She managed to score a job at Uwu Cafe, which is where she met the then-owner, Josh. They spent a few years travelling together but eventually wed and moved back North to Blaine County.

The Fallout[]

Gemma woke up to an empty bed and a note placed on her side table. "Went hunting, be back in a few hours -J" she read as she dragged herself out of bed to get ready for the day. Gemma made her way through the living room and turned on the television for some background noise while she prepared the kitchen for her husband's return. Moments later, the sky darkened, and all power was lost.

Anxious and a little scared, Gemma took a peek outside, but saw no light on the horizon of the city scape. Something big was happening. Gemma made her way to the front door and as she opened it, she heard a plane come crashing to the ground in the near distance. This made her slam the door and run to the cellar.

Gemma waited for the commotion to die down before making her way up the stairs and out the cellar door. As she went around flickering the switches on and off, there was a forceful knock at the front door. Hesitant, Gemma looked out the peephole and saw the military were standing on the other side of it. She opened the door for them in hopes they had answers, but they said nothing. One of the soldiers scanned her with a handheld device, whispered something in another soldiers ear, and then was escorted away from her home.

EMERGENCE []

Gemma was reunited with Josh in an underground bunker alongside other survivors after four months of quarantine. The first they encountered was Jax Sawyer, a former Sargeant in the marines. He mentioned there were rumors of a sanctuary in the southern part of the city, pointed Gemma and Josh in the direction to follow and they departed ways.

While in the sanctuary, Gemma overheard a conversation about pockets and took an interest. This is where she met "Granny" Dinah Moe, Clyde Walker, and Edward Maddox. After a bit of meet and mingle, the group set out to the east end to make water bottles. After what seemed to be a quest for water going smoothly, there was a sudden explosion caused by circumstances unknown. Many of the group, including Gemma, needed to be transported and treated for their burns.

After the rogue attack, the group made their way back to the sanctuary only to be met with the sounds of an air raid and a military grade fighter jet shooting missiles into the sanctuary. In the midst of People scattering to safety, Gemma and Josh fled to the alleys near old MRPD alongside Granny, Clyde, James and an old man named Samuel. The six of them banded together to help the remaining survivors and thus The ARC was formed.
